A biography of Ryan Brown (actor)

Ryan Brown is an American actor who is especially known to fans of daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. In this show Ryan Brown plays the character of Billy Abbott. Read here about Ryan Brown, his role on the show and the Young and the Restless.

About Ryan Brown

Overview Ryan Browne was born in 1975 and is the son of author Sandra Brown. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in film studies. From there on, he did not choose to be a decorator, waiter or contemporary wedding photographer but went full steam ahead to pursue his acting dream by studying theatre in New York. He was soon cast in The Guiding Light, which aired on CBS.
He played in the show for three years. He met Victoria Arbiter on the set and married her without too much of a fuss or reportage wedding photography taking over the day in 2001. Soon after the wedding Ryan landed the role of Billy Abbott.
He also did some film rolls and had a part in Law and Order: Special Victim's Unit.
In 2010, Brown turned his hand to writing, publishing the novel Play Dead and some short stories.

The Young and the Restless

Soap The Young and the Restless is television soap that was created by William and Lee Bell, who also created The Bold and the Beautiful.
It first aired in 1973 and is syndicated internationally.
It focuses on different families including the Abbotts and the Newmans. In the 1990's, the Winters family was also introduced.
There is a lot of rivalry between all the families, lots of romantic entanglements and feuds like the one between Katherine Chancellor and Foster.
Some big names got their first big break with The Young and the Restless including Shemar Moore and Eva Longoria. Billy Abbott The character of Billy was born in 1993 on the show and grew up normally till in 1999 when the writers made him ten years older.
Many actors have portrayed Billy.
David Tom played Billie from 1999 to 2002 and won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2000 for his role.
