Blog Rank – aka BR – is a quality barometer which is calculated every night using a complex algorythm. It consists in a number between 0 and 100 and represents a blog's activity and interest level. A high blog rank indicates the blog has been updated recently and that visitors have been interested in the content.

Here is a list of criteria which are taken into account to calculate the Blog Rank:

• updating and adding new articles on a regular basis
• visit length on the blog and per article
• page views per visitor
• number of subscribers to the newsletter
• number of direct visits (indice de récurrence)
• recent activity (number of articles posted in the last 30 days)
• number of recent comments
• global traffic

This method is updated on a regular basis and allows homogeneous stats in order to avoid abuses.
