The trackback is a process which is not easily understood by internauts and bloggers. Creating a trackback is the system of having two different articles on the same topic and displayed on two different blogs cross-reference. Each article displays an hypertext link which leads to the other article.

On a practical point of view, most blog platforms automatically display a trackback url for each article of any blog. Each trackback url is unique. Whenever you enter a trackback url into your blogging platform, you allow your blog and another one to communicate. In a sense, it is quite like posting an automated comment on a blog you do not manage. The hypertext link is your article name and the message content consists in the first lines of your article and its title.
